How To Transition From Summer Into Fall - Just Style LA

We have just returned from our amazing trip to Italy’s Tuscany region. If you are following me on Instagram or Facebook, you will have seen the pictures and videos each day of all the amazing places my husband and I managed to visit during our 10-day holiday. I will be doing a 2-part recap of our trip over the next 2 weeks so stay tuned!

Today I have a great “summer into fall” transitional look for you. Even though it is still pretty hot in most of the country, fall is just around the corner. I know we are all starting to look and shop for items for fall and personally I also love transitional pieces that you can wear now and take into early fall.

I started my look with our Heather Gray Dreamer Graphic top and white skinny jeans. The best part is that you can wear this look right now and look summery and cool. One way to wear it would be to wear casual sandals and leave the top out for an easy breezy summer look. You can also take the same two pieces and and dress them up a bit to move into early fall. I did this by tucking in the front of the top and wearing a black belt and black pointy mules instead of sandals. This already refined the look and made it sleeker and easier to dress up for fall.

I then added two different outerwear pieces for two different looks. The first one is a brand-new piece we have just added for fall, our trendy Gray Plaid Oversized Duster Coat. These types of oversized menswear inspired blazers and coats and a big trend for this fall. This piece is an easy duster coat to throw on and make any outfit super chic. It is unlined and unstructured with no shoulder pads, making it comfy yet stylish.

For the second outerwear piece, I wore our Pink Knit Cardigan with Crochet Back which I debuted for you here. This is a beautiful cardigan that works perfectly for transition and early fall when the weather is not so cold yet. As you can see it looks great with this graphic top, picking up on the color of the pink rose. I also wanted to mention that this graphic top is quite long as you can see in my side view photo, so you can easily leave it out if that is the look you are prefer.

As for accessories, I kept things pretty simple since the top and the coat are both patterned. I didn’t want to add a heavy necklace or earrings, so I just added our Black Gray Gold Bead Bracelet to wear next to my watch.
