Have A Little Fun With Our Eyelash Kimonos

Have A Little Fun With Our Eyelash Kimonos

I can’t believe its Mother’s Day next weekend! I know it is going to be a bit strange and different this year with these crazy times we are living in.

However just like we did for Easter, we will have to make the best of it at home with immediate family. I believe we can still celebrate this special day which is so dear to all of us.

So while we will be celebrating at home, why not dress up a bit for this special occasion? Sometimes putting a bit of effort in our outfit, applying a bit of makeup and even wearing some heels can be all we need to lift our spirits.

Having said that, today I have two new fun pieces that I think are perfect to throw on for Mother’s Day. Our Mauve and Silver Eyelash Kimonos are beautiful statement pieces you can wear at home now for a special occasion. Hopefully in the near future you can also wear them out.

The fabric on these kimonos is a novelty burnout type fabric that is textured and some of the yarns are left out as fringe or what I am calling eyelash. It is such a novel effect and makes the piece so unique and that is why the body is pretty simple.

It has a loose kimono style body with two armholes and side slits. The best part is it does not wrinkle because of its microfiber fabric so it is very travel friendly. We are offering them in two beautiful colors, Mauve and Silver.

As for layering to wear under them, I have a new type of tank tunic I am debuting today. This piece is not only a new type of body, but it is also a new type of yarn I am introducing to you all.

It is made out of bamboo and a little bit of lycra. Bamboo is very similar in hand to rayon modal, so it is super soft. Here are some of the characteristics of bamboo.

  1. One of the eco-friendliest fabrics on the planet.
  2. One of the softest fabrics on the planet.
  3. Has antibacterial and hypoallergenic properties.
  4. It’s breathable so it keeps you cool during summer
  5. It has natural UV protection.

The body on this piece is what I call a tank tunic, so it is like a tank top but much longer. It has two side slits and the front is a bit shorter than the back.

I would love to hear some feedback from you about this kind of silhouette. If you like this body, I can get it in other colors as well.

It looks great with these two kimonos, but it can work well on its own over leggings or shorts for a casual summer look. It is also super comfy to throw on at home.

I finished off the look with our pretty Patel Iridescent Bead Necklace with Marbleized Pendant. I chose to wear this look with my high heel sandals and clutch in silver. However, you can wear flat sandals with this whole look and it will be just as fab.

If you are interested in getting any of these pieces before Mother’s Day, please order as soon as possible, so I can get it to you before next Sunday.

Also just a reminder that I have “Jacket Society Gift Cards” available in case you would like to send it to a special mom.

I can include a lovely card and put whatever message you want in the card.

All four pieces I am showing you today are part of our Weekend Flash Sale where you can get 15% OFF with code FS52 plus Free US Shipping.

All shipments to Canada are a flat rate of $25.00 and all other countries are a flat rate of $35.00.

Just a reminder that our online shop is open and operating as normal, as I am personally doing All the shipments in a safe & clean working environment.

Not a good silhouette for me. I am petite and prefer shorter, more fitted tops and jackets. Also, for new purchases, I am trying to move away from my skinny jeans and try some of the straight and wide-leg bottoms that need less fabric on top. Silver kimona is beautiful and a great price point so I do wish it worked for me.
Happy early Mother’s Day to You!

    1. Hi Kathy,
Thank you so much for your feedback, I really appreciate it. Just an FYI that I am only a little under 5’4″ in height so even though I am not considered petit, I am average in height and not tall. Most people think I am taller than I really am in the blog photos. Just for future references for proportions on the items you see on me.

    Nora,
I want to first thank you for my purchase that I received A couple weeks ago. Although I have not had a chance to wear them yet… No place to go, They are perfect in size and quality. Although I really like the look of the eyelash Kimono, Neither of these colors will work for me. If by chance it comes in a different color, I would love to get it. Take care, stay healthy!

  4. Kimonos are totally my jam! I haven’t met one yet that I didn’t love. These are so pretty. I love the soft hues and the delicate fringes. And that sleeveless tunic is stunning. The perfect addition to any summer wardrobe.

  5. Such beautiful texured kimonos on you! I love the lilac and the grey. The long necklace looks great as well, as it draws your eye lengthwise in this outfit. Perfect with the kimono.
    Happy Mother’s Day!
