Different Shades Of Blue For Spring

Different Shades Of Blue For Spring

Blue is a universally liked color among women and men. It brings a sense of calm and it is flattering on most skin tones.

It is also Pantone’s color of the year for spring 2020 and is a shade of blue called “Classic Blue”. In fact, blue is such an important color for spring that they also have another shade of blue in their color selection called “Faded Denim”. You can see both those blue shades in the blog story I did about Pantone’s Spring 2020 colors here.

For today’s look I am showing you a few items in different shades of blue. My inspiration for this color story started with one of our new scarves, our Blue White Olive Multi Print Scarf. This pretty scarf has different shades of blue combined with olive, sage and white.

It is a beautiful scarf that we have already sold quite a few of them in our online store before I have even had a chance to style it.

For the first look today, I have pulled the shades of blue and sage out of the scarf to mix together for my top and jacket. The top which is one of our new rayon jersey tops is our Blue Round Neck Elbow Length Top.

This top is just like our other rayon jersey tops that we offer in long sleeve and short sleeve, but this one has an elbow length sleeve.

This is a new take on a sleeve length which is a good compromise between a long and short sleeve. The body is semi loose with the sides that are slightly shorter than the front and back. The color is a very pretty and a flattering shade of blue.

For a jacket I am wearing our Sage Stone Washed Jacket with Lace Back Yoke. This is a beautiful casual jacket that can be a great substitute for a denim jacket.

It is made out of a rayon fabric that has been stone washed to give it a distressed look and because of the stone washing, it also feels super soft and supple. The stone washing has given it a faded and worn look which makes it unique and different. It is also lighter in color in certain parts like the hem so please take a look at the shop photos for a more close up details.

The jacket has a cargo style look with two chest pockets, a stand collar, hidden placket and epaulettes with antique gold buttons. On top of all that detailing, take a look at the very pretty lace overlay yoke on the back.

For my second blue look option today, I am showing you our Sky Blue Lace Up Sweater. This is a great sweater with a fun lace up detail in the front. We have only a few pieces left and it is also currently on SALE. So today you can get an additional 15% Off the sale price!

For jewelry today, I decided to go with silver because the whole outfit has a cool color story vibe. I love our new Matte Silver and Gold Heart Necklace which is very pretty. It has a little bit of gold in the middle part of the heart, but for the most part it is silver. I am also wearing our Matte Silver Hoop Earrings.

In keeping up with the blue theme, I wore all these pieces with my dark navy denim sailor pants. As for shoes and bag, I chose to go with brown.

All six pieces I am showing you today are part of our Weekend Flash Sale where you can get 15% OFF with code FS229 plus Free US Shipping.

All Canada shipments are a flat rate of $25.00. All other international shipments are a flat rate of $35.00.

  2. These shades of faded denim always remind me of Wedgwood blue which reminds me of my mother which makes me very happy. I love all of these pieces. That lace up sweater is fantastic. And your dark washed denim is really cool! Thanks for linking up.
